School Philosophy
At Lauderdale School, we maximize student achievement through high academic and behavioural expectations and a strong focus on teaching and learning. Our students develop a strong sense of pride in their accomplishments. They acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to be responsible and skilled participants in the community. In a small school atmosphere, we offer a safe, caring environment where students and families feel a sense of belonging as a responsible, respectful and dedicated group of learners. As a staff we are focusing our efforts on Universal Design for Learning that will provide multiple means of representation, action and expression, and engagement for all students. Using this focus we encourage our learners to be motivated, strategic, goal-oriented, resourceful and knowledgeable.
Lauderdale School also works in professional partnerships with the North Central Catchment Schools focusing on staff professional development to support enhanced student learning opportunties and successful transitions.
